Can you provide samples of your printed paper bags?
Yes. We can send you samples free of charge. Please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org with your delivery address and let us know what product you are after. We will then send it out by Royal Mail.
Where do I send my paper bag designs to?
Please send everything to email@example.com. The best format for us is a vectored EPS file with all fonts and designs turned to outlines. We can also use a high resolution PDF if you don’t have an EPS file.
Can I approve my paper bags before they go to print?
Yes. We will email a PDF proof of your paper bag based on the artwork you send us. The design will be positioned in the center of the carrier bag, sized to fit the print area of the bag you have ordered. If you have asked for a particular image size and/or positioning within the print area, it will be shown on the proof. It is vital that you check the proof very carefully for content and positioning as we won’t be able to make any changes after they’ve been approved.
What will the origination cost be for printed paper bags?
This is the cost of a printing screen, film production, or flexographic plates. The cost of origination is shown on the quote or order confirmation. There is no origination cost for repeat orders.
What is a gusset?
Some bags can have a gusset at the bottom to enable a wide product to fit in or have a gusset at the sides to help the bag open out more and enable a greater number of items to be put in.
How do I place an order?
If you want to order from us you will need to send us a Purchase Order which will provide us with the details of your order. Once we have received this we will then send you a Proforma Invoice / Sales Order for you to check over. This has all of the details of your order and once you have signed it and faxed it back we can make a start.
If you plan on using your own artwork we will need to have it at this stage (check out the accepted files types for artwork section to view the formats we accept). As soon as the artwork that you have sent us has been approved we will need a payment of 50% in advance to secure your order.
What are the payment terms?
We require a 50% advance payment once your order and artwork have been accepted (if you are using your own). The final 50% must be paid within 7 days of receiving your order and invoice. On receipt of your deposit we can start on your order.
If you are ordering stock bags which are plain and can be delivered within 7 days, the full amount payable is due immediately.
What Payment methods are acceptable?
Payment can be made by all major credit cards including: American Express, VISA or Mastercard. All credit card payments for invoices over £1000 will incur a 1.0% surcharge. Payments by debit card do not have to pay a surcharge.
Payments via bank transfers, cheque or bankers draft are also accepted.
Unfortunately we do not accept cheques from customers who are overseas.
I would like my own artwork on the bags, what is the lead time?
For orders where you would like to see samples using your artwork the lead time will be 2 – 3 weeks from the date you place an order and an agreed payment method has been accepted by Plastol.
Am I able to specify Pantone Codes?
You can specify particular Pantone Codes for the printing and the bag that you order. We will match the colours as closely as possible, although sometimes an exact match cannot be found. The handle of the bag will be matched as closely as possible.
Can I cancel my order?
If you wish to cancel your order Plastol will require it in writing and it must get to us within 2 days of the final contract being placed. We cannot accept any cancellations via the phone. If you want to cancel your sample we can only accept this if an imprinted screen has not had to be made and the goods are not shipped.
What happens when my order is ready?
Once your order is ready we will let you know how many boxes will be arriving and agree a suitable date for delivery.
How is my order packed?
We pack our orders in hardback paper carton boxes that will fit from 100 – 250 bags per box.
How long will my order take?
Our products have different lead times. If you need your order in a hurry we do have express products available! Please call us on 03330 119 046 to check if there is a slot in production for you.
