Our charity toyraiser for Let Them Play
Giving something back to the community is something so important. And when we found out we could help those less fortunate than us further away from home, we jumped at the chance to do so. Being a family business with the next Plastol CEO just 3 years old, we thought there was no better way to help than by helping orphans in Iraq.
Who are let them play?
The situation in Iraq has been hitting the headlines for the last decade, and many innocent children have been affected by what’s going on there. Let them play is a charity that helps bring a smile back to orphaned Iraqi children by collecting new and used toys and art supplies from around the UK and shipping them out to their new home in Iraq.
What did Plastol do to help?
After Christmas, we organized to have literally bags full of toys collected from mums around our local area. We then drove them up to Birmingham so that let them play could get them ready for shipping out to Iraq. These toys will not only give the children something to smile about after having been through so much, they’ll help the childrens’ development as play plays such a vital role in that.
We’d like to say a massive thank you to all the mums who donated, namely Hester Lucy, Hannah Scandolo, Aneta Kurster, Laura Hopkins, Vicky Louise Shadbolt, Davida Sharland, Sarah Dyer, Anna Ledingham and Bella Eftstratiou. We couldn’t have done it without you 🙂
